Licensed nurse preparing a vitamin B12 injection during a villa visit in Bali

Not everything needs a drip — sometimes a quick intramuscular shot is the right size of intervention, and as a nurse I appreciate a tool that takes ninety seconds and doesn't oversell itself. B12 is our most-requested: vegans and vegetarians (Bali makes plant-based eating easy and B12 deficiency easier), long-stay nomads whose energy has sagged, and guests whose doctor back home already told them they run low. D3 sounds ironic on a tropical island, but between SPF 50, indoor co-working and rainy season, plenty of residents test deficient. B-complex covers the spread. Shots go into the deltoid or glute with a fine needle — a pinch, a plaster, done.

What’s in the Drip

Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) — IDR 350.000

Supports normal energy metabolism and nerve function. The go-to for plant-based eaters and the chronically jet-lagged.

B-Complex — IDR 400.000

The full B-family in one IM shot, for guests whose diet has been more smoothie-bowl-adjacent than balanced.

Vitamin D3 — IDR 450.000

High-dose D3 for tested-low residents and the SPF-diligent. Ideally dosed after a blood level test — we'll say so rather than guess.

Add-on pricing — IDR 250.000

Any shot added to any IV drip visit costs IDR 250.000 instead of full price, since the nurse is already with you.

Shot or Drip — Which Do You Need?

A shot delivers a concentrated micronutrient with near-complete absorption and zero time commitment; a drip delivers volume — fluids and electrolytes — plus vitamins. Exhausted and dehydrated after a surf-and-sunburn day? That's volume: book the Hydration & Energy IV. Fine on fluids but flat on energy for weeks as a vegan? That's B12. Genuinely both? A drip with a shot added at IDR 250.000 is the efficient combo, and the hangover protocol plus B12 is our most popular pairing.

Honesty corner: vitamin shots help when you're actually low on the vitamin in question. B12 won't fix poor sleep, and D3 won't fix overtraining. For standalone shot visits we have a two-shot minimum (or IDR 500.000 minimum call-out) to keep travel viable — easy to hit when two of you book together. Weekly B12 schedules for long-stayers are a thing we happily run on repeat across Canggu and Berawa.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do vitamin shots cost in Bali?
B12 IDR 350.000, B-complex IDR 400.000, D3 IDR 450.000 — or IDR 250.000 each when added to any IV drip. Standalone visits have a two-shot minimum. See pricing.
Is a B12 shot better than tablets?
If your gut absorbs B12 normally, good tablets work. Shots shine when absorption is the problem, when you want certainty, or when a doctor has confirmed deficiency. We'll give you the honest version for your case, not the profitable one.
How often can I get B12?
Common schedules for confirmed-low guests run weekly to monthly. B12 is water-soluble and excess is excreted, but "harmless" isn't a reason to overdo it — we'll suggest a sensible rhythm.
Does it hurt?
A quick pinch with a fine needle, occasionally a day of mild muscle ache at the site. Most guests rate it well below a Bali scooter pothole.
