Hydration and energy IV drip bag prepared by a nurse in a Bali villa

If I could prescribe one drip to half the island, it's this one. As a nurse here I see the same pattern weekly: tropical heat, salt water, long surf sessions, a few Bintangs at sunset and a body running two litres behind. You feel it as a dull headache, heavy legs and brain fog by mid-afternoon. Our Hydration & Energy IV replaces fluid and electrolytes directly, with a B-vitamin and vitamin C boost in the larger formula. It's not magic — if you can comfortably drink and keep fluids down, water and oral rehydration salts will get you there too, just slower. The IV is for when you're properly depleted and want to feel functional today, not tomorrow.

What’s in the Drip

500 or 1,000 ml of sterile fluids

NaCl 0.9% or Ringer's lactate depending on protocol — the 500 ml top-up for mild depletion, the full litre when you're properly flattened.

Electrolyte balance

Sodium, potassium and magnesium in physiological proportions — what sweat and sun actually take out of you.

B-complex + vitamin C (Energy formula)

Added in the 1,000 ml Energy version to support normal energy metabolism when you feel drained.

Optional add-ons

B12 shot, extra vitamin C or anti-nausea medication can be added after screening — the nurse will advise honestly, not upsell.

Who Books This Drip

Surfers after back-to-back sessions at Batu Bolong or Uluwatu. Guests who landed on a red-eye and need to function at a wedding tonight — pair it with our DIY jet lag plan for the full effect. Athletes mid–training camp, hikers back from a sunrise volcano trek, and anyone whose itinerary outran their water intake. It's also the gentler option when a hangover doesn't justify the full Hangover Recovery IV.

Straight talk: if you have a fever, persistent vomiting or diarrhoea, this is the wrong page — see the Bali Belly Recovery IV or, with severe symptoms, a clinic. And if you have a heart or kidney condition, IV fluids need a doctor's individual sign-off, which is exactly what our screening is for.

Pricing in IDR

500 ml Quick Top-Up: IDR 850.000. 1,000 ml Hydration + Energy (with B-complex and vitamin C): IDR 1.050.000. Both include travel, screening, nurse time and all consumables. Booking for a group after a surf camp or volcano trek? Group discounts start at four people. Full menu on the pricing page.

How It Works

  1. WhatsApp us your state

Describe how you feel — we'll honestly tell you whether you need 500 ml, the full Energy litre, or just a big bottle of Pocari and a nap.

  2. Screening before the first drip

Short health questionnaire reviewed under our doctor's protocol — two minutes that keep this genuinely safe.

  3. Nurse at your door in 45–60 min

Vitals check first (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), then a sterile single-use line.

  4. 45–60 minutes on the drip

Work on your laptop, watch a series or doze — then the nurse removes the line and leaves hydration advice for the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a hydration IV cost in Bali?
From IDR 850.000 for the 500 ml top-up, or IDR 1.050.000 for the full 1,000 ml Energy formula with B vitamins. Everything — travel, nurse, materials — is included. See pricing.
Is an IV really better than just drinking water?
If you can drink and keep it down — water and oral rehydration salts work, just more slowly. The IV's advantage is speed and certainty: 100% of the fluid goes in, regardless of how your stomach feels. We'll tell you honestly which you need.
How often can I safely get a hydration drip?
For a healthy adult, occasional drips (e.g. weekly during an intense training block) are fine. Daily drips are unnecessary and we'll say so. Our doctor reviews anything outside the standard pattern.
Can I work or move around during the infusion?
You can sit, type and take calls — we just ask you to keep the arm reasonably still. Most guests treat it as an enforced hour of rest, which frankly is half the benefit.
